Cap and Gown Distribution/Senior Class Picture:
Students will receive their cap and gown on Friday May 9. That day, students will have their class portrait taken on the steps of St. Agnes Church in their gown.
Please note that students are responsible for keeping their cap and gown until graduation on May 22. There is no guarantee that we will be able to replace lost or damaged items, including tassels.
Cap Decorating:
Student and parent cooperation is very important in making sure that this is done appropriately. Graduates may decorate their caps in a way that celebrates their high school career and/or looks forward to their future plans. Students should not put political items, social causes, or other messages on their caps; while we realize and appreciate that students have strong feelings about many issues, it is important to understand that issues can be polarizing and we do not want to create conflict in any way on what is supposed to be a happy day. Students who decorate caps in a way that does not celebrate their time at AC or look forward to their future (college, major, etc) risk having their cap confiscated; AC staff/administration will be the sole determinants of this. Students whose cap is confiscated will not be given a replacement and will, therefore, have no cap for the ceremony. Students and parents are strongly encouraged to ask if there are any questions before graduation, this will not be a situation where it “is better to ask forgiveness than permission.”
Required Graduation Practice:

Students must arrive no later than 10:15 and gather on the grounds behind the rectory. Be aware that bathroom facilities are very limited. Practice is MANDATORY for all those participating in the ceremony.
